Octavia IV PHEV recall

Featured Replies

So my car has developed an issue with the parking sensors and whenever I turn on the infotainment system there is a loud hissing coming from it.

I contacted my local Skoda garage and while they were looking into it they checked to see if there were any outstanding recalls. Apparently there is one and I should have been sent a letter by Skoda about it (I am in the middle of a move and it may be in the delayed by a re-direct). I was told that the car would need to go to a specialist centre (nearest ones to me are either central London or Cambridge) as it involved work on the high voltage batteries.

Has anyone else heard of this?

The issue is the person calls it a recall yet if you are the registered keeper there was no recall.  So a Skoda  VW recall action.  A service campaign / recall action.  Also known as a Skoda Secret Service Campaign.    Do not tell too many as we have so many cars needing sorted for so many issues because of pathetic R&D and quality control.  http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions
