Increased engine response with OBD11 (MODE AUDI)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I know it's not new but this mod has recently appeared on obd eleven, I put it on my 190 TDI 4x4 from 2016 and the change is AMAZING, it looks like another car, it's just as I wanted it to be, finally the 190 is noticeable CV.  This together with direct acceleration and it's like making a repro to the car.

Totally recommended if the switchboard supports it.

Can you elaborate in more detail about the procedure?

There have been reports that doing the Audi engine mod caused various errors with ACC, DCC, driver profile selections on other VW cars.. The other mod you are reffering to i think has nothing to do with throttle response mode, rather then driver profile selection as i recall it!

This is from the Superb 3 tried and tested thread:

“Increased sensitivity of the throttle pedal
Controller 01- Engine
07 - Coding
Byte 0, Bit 0-2,
Change from Škoda (01) to AUDI (02) this will dramatically reduce lag on pressing accelerator pedal.

If like me and many other owners you think the std throttle response is pretty dead, then this will dramatically change the way the car drives, the power is now instant just like on other cars.

IMO this is the best free mod you can do!”

I did it the other day. No errors, just removes the lack of response on the throttle pedal, most noticeable in ECO profile.

It's not just direct acceleration, I did that as soon as I bought the car and that's why I bought the obdeleven.

 This is something else.

The power delivery is linear, not in an ascending curve, the car pushes from the bottom and goes up the laps pushing, that was not done before.

My model does not have driving modes and has not given me any failure.  It is as if he had made a repro.

The way to do it was with the mod established in Obdeleven himself, 10 credits and falling in love with the car and feeling the 190 CV that it now has.

I tried this on my 162TSI (220 for other markets) and noticed no difference at all. Never noticed any issue with throttle lag/responsiveness.

I did this in my Octavia 1.5 tsi. It knocked out the cruise control and the difference wasn't enough to be worth it. Reverted back to original setting and got the CC back.

OBDeleven is handy for plenty other things.

Didn’t make any difference on our 280 either. Bought an XLR pedal box from another member and that eliminated the lag completely, even when in standard mode.
