Haldex Filter - 125kw 4x4 2013

Featured Replies

Got my haldex fluid changed yesterday by an independent local mechanic that came recommended by a transmission specialist (also local)

Arrived to drop off car, asked if the fluid change included filter replacement. Mechanic informed me he had been told by Skoda that there was not a filter.

We had a short discussion about Haldex and decided he would try to find the filter.
The filter did exist!

Unfortunately he was Unable to find a new part, again being told it didn’t exist. He informed the local Skoda/VW parts supplier, that it did exist, as he was holding it. The part number was unable to be matched.

Anyway, he cleaned it, said it was in pretty good order, matched an o-ring and put it back in place.

I think this mechanic has me as a customer for life. Had good google reviews too -Advanced Tech Auto in Canberra (Australia)

next Haldex service I will try and find the filter beforehand.

To @Rkdee - Absolutely, "Haldex 4" have filter. @Schtum is right. Also, the "Haldex 4" electric pump have white filter that need to be cleaned too. If this is not cleaned, the flow of oil is limited and the electric pump can damage..
