servicing price variations

Featured Replies

My fabia vrs is due its 20k service, decided because i'm a bit strapped for cash i'd ring around for prices. I cant believe my local STEALERS is 85 quid more expensive than the next closest skoda garage

Just gobsmacked that theres such a large difference in prices between the two.

I know where i'll be going in future for servicing

Worth also getting a breakdown of what they'll do for the money (making sure they've included all they should!). Interestingly, I found that my nearest dealer was cheap for some services (like the 60k  ) but significantly more expensive for the 10k one :thumbdwn:

Best advice is to ring round each time :D

Chris

Agree £100 + VAT difference for my local ones.

its a lot of cash, ok they clean the car at the first but they dont exactly do an amazing job. Certainly not an 85 quid job.

Same here - went for a VW garage > 50 miles away as it was 150 quid (!!!) cheaper for 100% identical service. Ouch :P
