    Is that under a front seat? Yellow connectors are airbag related I think  so nothing to do with engine running.

    The Accelerometer is only there for the side impact detection for the airbag system absolutely nothing to do with the engine

No. Even if there was, the easiest way if getting PD130 performance out of an SDi is to buy another car.
