electric window regulator / mechanism

Featured Replies

hi there, the drivers door electric window through its rag in the other day luckily it stuck closed instead of open, the motor was still working but it sounds like the regulator is mangled so i got one of them replacements off ebay around £30 or so anyway had the new regulator fitted and soon as he tried the window it mangled that new one as well, i have been told to get an original part is there something els that could be at fault as i don't  want to pay for another new part for it to get mangled strait away  again?

and will i need to get the regulator from a skoda dealer or would i be ok to get one cheaper on line but look for one made by the same company as the one i would get from skoda them selves ?

what name of manufacturer should i be looking for?

cheers kev!

dose anyone know where i can get hold of a drivers door (window regulator) for my 2013 mk2 superb estate, a good quality one but without having to go to the main dealer ££££££ ?

cheers kev

there is either chinese knock off or main dealer as far as i know. the knock offs surely all come out of the same factory? the one i bought lasted two weeks so then bought the vw one.
