Skoda Stream aftermarket replacement help?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I purchased a 2006 Octavia vRS on Wednesday. Currently installed is a SkodaAuto Stream stereo, see picture (no Bluetooth or AUX). I want to swap it out with a double din aftermarket screen with android auto/screen mirroring but am having some difficulties when looking for one.

I am after a manufacturer fit match with the stream stereo shape so I don't have to mess around with extra facias etc (I'm presuming they exist?).

Am i right in thinking this would be a straight swap? Not bothered about steering wheel control and reversing camera compatibility as I don't have them!

Really interested if anyone has any advice or any links to other products, thank you! 👍

(excuse the filthy car, valet due Monday 😆)

There aren't any options I'm aware of which will fit straight into the Stream sized hole.  I believe you can get adapter plates though which will adapt that to a normal double-DIN slot in which you could put an aftermarket Android unit.

I have the same dilemma with my car currently and I'm probably going to find a new fascia with the slot for a Columbus/Nexus/Amundsen etc and fit an RCD330 unit since these come with CarPlay and Android Auto (if you buy the right one).

I'm struggling to find a silver fascia for my car as it has Climatronic but I think this should fit yours - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294324371224?hash=item4487197f18:g:nlwAAOSwZHdhEN~n
