Keyless Start Hardly working

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

first post and thanks for having me.

My 2016 Superb 206 is having trouble starting, and it seems to be getting worse. It can take up to 20 goes with foot on break and pushing start button to get going.

I am not getting anything saying ‘key not detected’ and have changed the battery in the fob just in case.

has anyone had a similar issue or know what this is?

The vehicle is out of warranty. Does anyone have any experience of Skoda Australia would consider these things?

This may help you 🤞

Give us some more details?

is it trying to start, is the ignition coming on?

chances are it will work if you press the start button really hard and wiggle it at the same time. Repair the button or replace it if that’s the case

Sounds like a new start button is needed...   Its a common issue from what I can make out and the one on our Kodiaq was replaced by the dealer for the same issues before we bought it.

Yeah, sounds like it's the actual button.  This was the only warranty item I had done in my 3 years of ownership..

Looks like an easy fix though. 👍
