SKODA FABIA II COMBI (545) 1.2 TSI

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help. I got my car back a few weeks ago from the garage and when I popped the bonnet yesterday to check oil etc I noticed the engine cover was gone. I’ve had this car for 10 years so I know it had a cover. When I asked the garage what happened to the cover they told me my car never had an engine cover. They even called the dealer they use who confirmed this was the case. Except I know my car had an engine cover. One of us is obviously wrong and maybe I’ve traversed universes with my Skoda and in this one

it never had a cover. Thoughts from others would be welcome - I purchased in August 2011 from Chatham’s in Edinburgh. Thanks!! Jo

Yes it seems truly bizarre. But mine did and now doesn’t. Afraid I’m a driver rather than enthusiast and really perplexed by this. Unfortunately the dealership I bought it from no longer operates as they would have been my obvious query point!! I shall take a photo of what it now looks like, and know now to photograph my next car under the bonnet, just in case!!!

thanks for the reply

This wouldn't be West End Skoda in Broxburn, by any chance? It's the only defunct Skoda dealer I can think of in Scotland. Only asking as that's where my car originally came from. :)
