Rear Shockers

Featured Replies

Hi all

can anyone confirm if these are the right shock absorbers for my car ?
Just discovered I’ve got a broken coil spring 😤

After looking on here at a chart and going by colour code (WOOOBr) I’ve discovered 1KO 511 115 DE is the right coil springs ( I hope)

But struggling to fine the right shocker

Any help ?

Cheers

The third character in the OEM part number 1K0511115DE is the number zero, not a letter.

The build code 1JA means standard ride height.

Sachs 311 346 are sold to replace 3C0513049CP, not Sachs 316 794.

1K0513029JE rear shock absorbers match rear springs with build codes 0YB, 0YC, and 0YD (which are softer springs than 0YE so isn't correct for your car).

3C0513049CP rear shock absorbers match rear springs with build code 0YE (which is correct for your car).

3C0513049AR rear shock absorbers are for cars with build code 1X1 which is 4-wheel drive (so isn't correct for your car).

You find a suitable shock absorber by searching for the OEM part number of your shock absorber, such as on autodoc.

Aftermarket shock absorbers will usually have a long list of OEM part numbers that they are being sold to replace. This means that it's unlikely to match your OEM shock absorber exactly, but that the manufacturer thinks that it's close enough.

Aftermarket shock absorbers often state that they are suitable for higher ride height, standard ride height, lowered/sports suspension. Don't take too much notice of these descriptions, because what's important is whether the shock absorber is sold to replace your OEM part number. So always check the list of OEM part numbers that are listed by the manufacturer for that particular shock absorber.

I’ve tried figuring out which of the kits in pictures I need to go with the rear dampers I have on order

The ones on mine seem to be the orange colour

Sachs 900202 is for standard suspension, so will be suitable for your standard ride height car. The two stop buffers in the kit should have a height of 133mm.

Sachs 900203 is for sports/lowered suspension, so won't be suitable for your standard ride height car. The two stop buffers in the kit should have a height of 118mm.
