Passenger door central locking issue on 68 plate

Featured Replies

Hi

my parents have a 68 plate karoq that they bought second hand from main dealer a couple of years ago.

passenger door has stopped opening on central locking. It has keyless entry. I went through the settings over the phone with them in case the settings had been changed.

Touching the button on the door, double pressing the key etc don’t work so I suspect it is something up with the actuator or wiring for that door.

has anyone else had a similar issue and is it something that is within the “reasonable lifetime” and may be done by dealer foc?

The locks can fail on the earlier cars, that's likely to be the problem.

It appears to be a known problem to dealers, I had my drivers door lock replaced in April on my 18 reg but I have the All in One service warranty package.

Ask the dealer about it being done if they do the servicing, may do it as a good will gesture?
