Engine stalling / revs dropping when below 1/2 tank

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing a strange problem here.

When driving, very occasionally, sometimes my engine stall for like 0.5s, I see the revs drop suddenly as if there was no fuel, and then it just runs fine. Its sudden and it slows the car down drastically for that 0.5s duration.

Its kind of a feeling as when a new driver is learning how to drive and the person would stall the engine if he can't operate clutch/ gas pedal properly..the car would be kind of going but not really..more likely jumping if you know what I mean.

I was not sure what is the cause but I kind of realised its happening when I'm below 1/2  of tank. Maybe below 1/3.

It uusually happens when I want to accelerate..basically when I push the gas pedal...

I'm thinking it's possibly something to do with fuel system, maybe fuel pump?

We checked the car, scanned for errors, see none.

Anyone experienced something like this?

It's skoda octavia mk3 2016 vrs tdi.

Thanks.

Obviously doesn't happen always when below 1/2. It happens rarely..like once a week or 2. Usually with light foot it doesn't really happen
