Hi,

Has anyone else the issue getting phone contact picture to the widget on skoda bolero? For me, it's showing only this grey avatar. I've tried everything on the phone and bolero. All permissions has been made, bluetooth settibgs has been set, reboot has been done...still no picture.

Any ideas?

What phone do you have and what OS version?

 

The earlier versions of iOS on iPhone didn't share contact pictures, don't know about Android...

Sorry, forget this. I have a Samsung S21 with thr latest android 12. I've tried to turn off android auto and setup the pictures, but no luck. I had a passat B8 before and this was working without any interactions. 

Turning off Android Auto will have no effect but could it be down to photo size or a sharing permission on the phone?

I also seem to recollect each phone contact ‘favourite’ (on the headunit) was set individually so maybe look at that?

I see all the contacts but not even one has a photo. So each time i try to set up one as favorite, I only get the grey avatar...does anyone see the contact photos from phone?

I saw all the contact photos from an iPhone 11 Pro on a MIB1 Amundsen in a 2015 Octavia.

I tried another phone and it's worling. So it's something with my phone. It could be that I have private and business profile on my android, so bolero has not the needed permission...

 

At least I know thata there is no problem or a bug with the car

Now I am getting about 100 contacts of overall 750. Tried everything (reset, wipe cache, adding new contacts, all bluetooth settings) getting always the same in the car. The only thing I did not try is factory reset of the car

So stupid and anoying bug.. 

I see them. Google Pixel 3a running Android 12. Car has Columbus infotainmemt system.

 

I've done a factory reset, deleted have of the contacts, put them in the samo group and still see maybe 100 of 750 contacts and no picture. No logic why some are synced while others not. 

There is a dedicated PC app that will check/amend to ensure the photos are also in the correct size format. Less than 500x500 IIRC.

thanks for the help, but I dont think that the pictures are problem, since most of the contacts have no pictures and they are still not being synced...
