07 roomster no indicators, wipers, horn, speedo and more since flat batteru

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I inherited my mums 07 Roomster after she passed away, but it had been sat on my drive for a few months and I (stupidly) let the battery go flat (very flat, as in central locking wouldn't work flat) and had to jump start it to get it running. Since then, the boot latch, speedo, wipers, indicators, interior light, hazard lights and screen demister are completely dead and the coil warning light is flashing constantly!

Other electrics are working as they should (central locking, fans, windows, screen wash jets, rear wiper etc).

I have gone through each of the fuses in turn and metered for continuity (all good) and am getting around 70ohms on the relays. Today I inspected the wiring loom in the engine bay and cleaned all the earth terminals I could get to,but still nothing.

My next step is to take it to a garage and get it plugged in to see if there are any faults, but wondered if anyone on here had any thoughts on what to look for. I've heard that a unit behind the steering wheel can sometimes be the cause, but am struggling to remove the airbag to take a look at it.

Any help would be appreciated. 👍

I think the module that controls most or all of those functions is the one above the accelerator pedal (on RHD cars).

Might be worth taking that out and having a look inside if possible.  See if anything looks cooked.
