New Karoq USB C connection

Featured Replies

So after taking delivery of my new karoq SEL I have found the front USB mounts are both USB C connections. Now I did have a handy set set of angled ones which I had kept from my previous karoq but the new version has USB C . Does anyone know of anywhere which has the USB C to USB connection but it must be the angled connection. I have looked on Amazon but cannot seem to find them. Seem to find everything but the ones I am looking

Interested to see how these fit.  I assume you can only use one at a time because the sockets are so close together.

Does anyone happen to know how much height clearance there actually is to close the slidey cover?

My phone takes usbc too ,so looking for a cable with right angle usbC on both ends.  Was kind of hoping for phonebox wireless charge.  Will see how only of my QI charges fits, but will need USB micro adapter.

You're right that it's only possible to use one at a time.  I use the socket that's closer to the driver side for a permanent connecion to a wifi dongle, and I have cable stashed to plug into the vacant socket should I need to charge my phone, so it hasn't been a problem for me.  I've never searched, but it would be interesting to see if there's a variation on the Amazon adapter with the USB-A socket rotated through 90 degrees which would then enable both USB-C sockets to be used.

Ok this is the setup which I have come up with. The white box has a usb c connection with slots for a usb and a SDcard and also a micro SD slot. Unfortunately drawback of this setup is the fact the drawer will not close.

These are what I bought:-

It was trial and error for me, but eventually found these, which provide enough clearance to close the cover over the USB ports.

Thanks for the tip, I ordered and got some the same as yours, however, I’ve just noticed this evening that the angled connector and the original usb are very hot to the touch and I hadn’t been using them as I had the radio on so I’m a bit worried about leaving them plugged in now 🤔

Interesting.  As I said, I use mine to power a wi-fi dongle and, on checking while driving, it's not at all warm to the touch.
