Well here's a weird one. Skoda SD card 32Gb works fine in car (MIB1 Amundsen). Plug into Mac and files can be seen fine. Unlock the SD card to be ready to update the files and it won't appear on desktop, in Disk Utility, anything. Tried everything with other card reader, restart etc but no dice. Anyone had the same ever? Any solution? Other SD cards are visible and writable fine

Does it work in the unlocked position when it's in the car?

Ah fixed it with the old sellotape trick to fool the computer into thinking it was unlocked

Stick a piece of sellotape over the lock window, this fools the switch in the drive to think the card is unlocked.

If you see the little white slider on the left, you have two positions to slide it from.
One is a locked position and other is unlocked.

Wrapping tape around one missing the white tab fools reader into thinking it is an unlocked card, so can be formatted/written to.

I Googled it. Basically small bit sellotape over the switch to fool the computer the switch is in off position. So simple
