Cheapest way to get a bit more sound out a 2.0TSI

Featured Replies

Loving my 2.0TSI 220 & it really flies down the road with the running box I fitted.  Planning a proper stage one soon & would like to get a little more noise out of it under full throttle loads.  What would be the cheapest way?  I've already bought a bigger turbo elbow, turbo muffler delete (not fitted) & a Ram air panel filter. However, without replacing the entire exhaust I was thinking about fitting an aftermarket high flow downpipe.  Open to suggestions

Change the resonator first thing. Don't do a resonator delete. I recommend the Vibrant Performance resonator. Change the downpipe only when you tune your car.

All depends where you want the sound to come from?

If you want exhaust sound - change the exhaust

If you want boost sound - turbo muffler delete and a large aftermarket air filter with no baffles

If you want engine sound - drain the oil and take it for a hard run, it will soon start making noise

Open the windows because really anyone around Deeside have enough good sounding cars and bikes and annoying ones about without having to hear a Skoda Superb nipping along at 60 mph.

I think you are wasting your money on a louder exhaust, they simply aren’t loud. A much better value mod is Stage 1. It will have real pep and not just be for show.
