drivers door window squeals in dry weather

Featured Replies

How do I cure this problem

A rubber sealant/protector is often applied by people when the window makes some noise when lowering/raising.  Caused by the age of the rubber and UV affecting it.

Things like 303 Rubber Seal Protectant / Gummi pflege and of a similar ilk can be used to restore some of the properties.

If I have got the problem correct.

A good clean to remove any dust/debris from rubber seal may be all that's needed.

Hi Varoom.

Thank you for your help. I'll give it a try,

Don't forget @Breezy_Peteadvice for a good clean before you splash out the bucks.

I assumed it would be clean as I keep on top of mine, the detailer in me likes it when it beads water.

Cheers.

It is clean.

Thanks again.

Once you get a working solution for you, be good to come back and report too so that others may benefit.

Mine has wind noise, but the radio just get's turned up as it has bigger problems than that.

Cheers Varoom,

I bought a can WD 40 silicon because it has the long straw attached and presto it worked a treat.

Thank you very much for the great help.
