Hi i have to replace the drivers side window reg and its riveted on can anyone tell me what size rivets are needed or can the rivets be replaced with screws/bolts ect cheers

Big-a55 ones!! 

 

6.4mm diameter, which is too big for a normal riveter. There are solutions to refitting without rivet…. Rivnuts have been used, self-tappers may work.

hi looking at the link picture they look like bolts is that right and where can i get some in uk

 

They were screws up until some time in 2004, rivets thereafter, drawing not representative of both.

Your car will have no threaded inserts for screws to go into, just plain holes for rivets.

Any Skoda/VW group dealer or TPS will sell them to you.
