Featured Replies

Help needed .. car lost power no eml light came on. turned ignition off then back on started and drove fine, eml light came on . read fault codes and it came up with P10AD00 magnetic clutch for mech charger-open circuit i booked car in for a replacement magnetic clutch/waterpump the car now goes into limp mode when accelerating . plugged diagnostic in an read codes list as follows P10AD00  P10AC00  P001000  P024300  P044400  P003300  has anyone had this problem on their vrs

Welcome.

Sorry for been daft but has the car had the new water pump or is it just booked in for getting fitted?

Do not accelerate with it until you get the car fixed if not done.

I did 1,100 miles including the North Coast 500 with the Turbo disabled while waiting to get a new WP.   Great MPG at 60 MPH.

PS

Do you also have a Octavia vRS 2.0 tfsi?

Hi mate sounds stupid but if you have already had the magnetic clutch fixed have you checked the electrical connector to the magnetic clutch is plugged in correctly ?

genuine vag part local garage i use

Hi mate if it’s a genuine part it’s either faulty from factory or my theory is that they will have damaged the wires/connector that go to the magnetic clutch on fitting it , did you replace water pump as a precaution or was the magnetic clutch faulty and that’s why you got it replaced in first place if so maybe the magnetic clutch was never faulty and it was a wiring / connection problem

Did the remove the original codes ? Try removing codes and see if it does the same thing tommorow if so they need to replace the water pump again at there cost did they check the connections with a multimeter ?

Does the electromagnetic clutch have it's own fuse on top of the battery?
