I need to take off the long black plastic grill under the front bumper to get at the radar unit.  See pic.  Has anyone done this and can offer pointers or advice?

That's only clipped in, however you might find it safer to remove the front bumper as clips will be more visible around the back, and risk of attacking from the front would be to snap clips off.
