19” Vega Wheels - Centre Cap Replacement

Featured Replies

Hey,

Has anyone successfully replaced the centre caps on their 19” Vega alloys (the ones in the pic below)? Mine have got the Skoda caps and they’ve corroded horribly around the edge!

Any pics of replacements / tips on removing the old ones would be appreciated!

Cheers

Tim

If they're like any of the others i've done (passat/exeo/etc) take the wheel off and tap gently on the centre cap from behind till it pops out (if you care about keeping them) or just whack it sharply (if you don't)

They're made of plastic and have clips held in place on the wheel by a metal ring if the design is similar.

Thanks. I’d prefer to avoid taking the wheel off if possible.

Does anyone know the specs of the centre cap I’d need to buy to replace the Skoda one on the 19” Vega wheels?

Pretty sure the originals are 5JA 601 151 FOD.

If you don't care about them, grab a chunky self tapping screw and drive it half an inch into the old cap then pull... I believe they are just plastic these days without a metal retaining ring.

Amazing, thanks loads!

Also, one of the cheapest places to get them INCLUDING their postage from CZ is skoda-parts.com - all genuine bits but a lot cheaper than in the uk. UK is about £25 each.
