Potential 2016 SE-L buyer - a few questions

Hi all - long time since I’ve been on this forum, but had 3 Skodas in the past!

 

I’m thinking of buying a 2016 SE-L 190 TDi DSG with just over 100k on the clock, with full history as a second workhorse car, and had a couple of Q’s.

 

1) I know it has ACC, but does it also have Lane Assist? If not, then can this be coded?

 

2) Does it have a CD player? I can’t remember when Skoda (and everyone else!) stopped fitting them!

 

3) Anything I should be aware of common fault wise / things to look out for?

We’re unable to say if it’s got lane assist as it was an extra at that point. A photo of the windscreen will tell us if it can be added or if it already has it.

 

a CD player will be in the glovebox yes and only capable of a single cd. Out of interest why go for cd’s when you can have USB’s and other better storage devices now?

 

the common fault list isn’t long but the tdi has a 5 year life span on the timing belt and the water pumps are prone to leaking or the internal pump shroud seizing.

if it’s a dsg or 4x4 make sure it’s been serviced correctly.

Ive got some old Trance CD’s that have unique mixes on that you just can’t find on the likes of Spotify etc, so would be nice to have them in the car. 
 

I think the history documents all of the above being carried out, so that’s a good sign.

Be sure that it does actually show the DSG had oil changes at 40,000 & 80,000 miles.
