Dashboard vents

My cleaner has been a bit overzealous on the vents above the gearstick and has managed to damage the mechanism on both the passenger and drivers side.  I've tried to check Youtube to see how easy it is to do, but can't seem to find any for the Kamiq.  Could anyone offer some advice please, I think all the parts are there, they just need putting back in the right place and I need to understand how to remove from the dashboard.  TIA

Have you looked for a workshop view of the vents? that might help.

Take note that the following images probably apply to LHD! So you may have to do opposite logic and remove opposite side vent.

I know, can be hard to take the plunge in the deep end.  Have to weigh up worse case scenario Vs attempt.

 

You can always abort if it feels uncomfortable, nothing lost at this point.
