Help identifying/naming a tube

Featured Replies

So I was poking a bit around as I am changing the air filter and I noticed that this tube was damaged.

I have no clue what this tube might be called and I tried browsing through the usual places where I buy parts from without any luck.

Hopefully  someone here can help.

It looks like an air intake duct from the filter box, and depending on your engine it should be shown on HERE or HERE.

That sounds right perfect i now managed to find what i was looking for.

Thank you so much!!

It would appear to be the intake manifold fitted to cold country models.  It captures air warmed by the engine and feeds it to the unfiltered side of the air box where it mixes with ambient temperature air and is drawn through the filter as normal.

It's under slight negative pressure so you could repair it by cleaning and wrapping the exterior with duct tape.  I doubt it would make much if any difference as the holes appear insignificant.
