Kamiq Boot Liner

Featured Replies

I bought one of these last year. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333906217362 Good fit and softer than the usual plastic liners. It's waterproof and easy cleaned. The softer material tends to stop stuff sliding about.

Thanks, gumdrop, that is something I'm looking for.  I did buy the boot cum rear of back seat liner for my Kamiq, and though it is useful for protecting the rear of the back seats with the seats folder a long load, it is quite a weight to lug around in the boot all the time.  Unfortunately, it's also an awkward thing to store.  The one I bought, too, appears to be wrongly put together.  It has a mat type side and a rubber treaded side and there is a fold out flap to protect the rear bumper.  However, this appears to be in wrong way round as when the mat side is uppermost, the fold out flap is rubber side out and vice-versa,

That’s exactly the one I bought a few weeks ago. I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Much cheaper than the other ones I’ve looked at, and so I was worried that some corners may have been cut in its manufacture.  But it is excellent, slightly soft, with a textured surface which helps to stop things sliding about. Best of all it is a perfect fit, unlike some other generic offerings. It’s probed its worth already - food shop this week, went to unpack from the boot and one of the milk cartons had leaked.  All contained by the liner, took out and wiped down. Would have been a horrible mess on the carpet.

Sorry I might have sowed some confusion. The one I was referring to as excellent is the eBay one mentioned by cestrian.

Years ago we bought a Yaris and a tailored fit after market liner the type with high edges making tray like.  That’s been in an A3 Sportback, Pug 308, Yeti and now a Kamiq, not a perfect fit but certainly good enough.

I have one of each of these boot protectors/liners. The fitted rubber one is great but there is a problem with the waterproofing of the one which protects the seat backs and has a flap for the sill.

I had loaded my Kamiq with garden waste and found the local tip was shut, and being idle left the waste in overnight. It leaked, the fitted rubber mat stopped water penetration to the boot floor but the other liner absorbed the waste water oozing out from the garden clippings and several scrubs later it still stank, as did the car. I’m lucky I had a good crop of lavender this year which has at least killed the sour grass smell in the car; I’ve scrapped the liner!
