hi all,

        have a 14 plate superb 2 ltr tdi. have replaced original varta unit @ 206k stop start. new battery is a exide . my tech guy cannot program this unit to the car at this point.

        any ideas or common hitches with regard to this.if we run the car without doing this process what may or may not  happen to harm the car.

The battery management system will almost certainly figure out all that it needs to without any coding, it may just take a little longer than it would with the coding input. See this post and the link within:
