I used Meguiars Quick Clay, two coats of Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine, a coat of Zymol Wax (Halfords cheapo version) and a coat of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. Any comments welcome, good or bad lol

EDITED: Added more pics including colour ones. If anyone wants to use them then feel free

Lovely motor

nice pics, and a great car!

Irf, mind if I nick a couple of them for prints? Brighten up a wall or two in the house...

Some very nice pics indeed.

you must have had some seriouse w*nkers cramp from that polishing!

top quality photos

1. You need a hoover / dyson/ vaccum cleaner for the passenger footwell

2. I hope you applied the EGP before the wax, otherwise it won't bond properly.

Looks very nice!

nice car and pics , but you need to detail the sunglasses now , the lens looks a bit scratched , which multi-storey in liverpool were you in/on ?

Does anyone know how to remove the cd changer from under the passenger seat btw?

i think you have to get the seat out to remove the CD changer from under it

Im so impressed by these photos, myself and a few of my mates have set them as our background on our screens. The way you've parked it and with all the light effects it looks like something out of Topgear feature. NICE WORK

You rubbed it so hard all the colour came out

Also, 35mpg!?!?!??!! And I was frustrated with my 38mpg!

best photos i have seen yet

Despite having a 2mb line I can't see them

Although I normally use Firefox, even IE won't display anything!

Very good pictures

I must get round to cleaning my Octy some time

Wow thanks for your comments guys! I've added more pics but put them on my site to make it easier for people to see them. If anyoen wants to use them then feel free.

texasjohn: use whatever you want

vrs19tdi: what calender is this? How do I submit my pics?

taviavrs: lol I know it needs a clean inside, not even had it a week and it's filthy already  I applied the Gloss Protection after the wax as it repels the water better. haivng said that, I've never used that wax/sealant combo before. Will try it the other way around next time!

ric04vrs: those Oakleys are about 6 years old and are covered in scratches. I keep them in the car due to the lens not being too dark and they're bound to get scratched etc in the car anyway. The car park is the new one in town, opposite the Albert Docks. The old NCP was knocked down along with the bus station and they build this new one down the road from it.

sotonjoe: normally I get around 40-50mpg but I think I got less due to me moving the car around the car park?

redline: thanks!

It is recommended that the sealant (extra gloss protection) is put on to the prepped and / or glazed paint it will then stick like **** to a blanket. You apply the wax after that. The wax is a sacrificial layer if you like, just a quick wash and a monthly wax will keep it looking stunning. If you apply the seal over the wax (a slippery surface) you'll need to redo it more often.

Try detailing world and polishedbliss for guides and explanations.

You missed a bit.....

Only joking :D Fantastic effort!

Very nice indeed! Always liked the VRS in black.

Not personally keen on the head unit you have (would have chosen black myself) but other than that an awesome car :)
