Hi all,

 

It's about time I replaced the backbox delete on the tractor. Will any mk1 rear silencer fit (except vrs) or are the mounting points/centre sections different? I'm assuming vrs backboxes aren't a straight fit?

All the petrol engine variants except for the 2.0 will be smaller connection pipe diameter, the vRS one is bigger at 55mm. Any non-vRS diesel one should be OK though, except estate/hatch will have different versions too, I think.

Why not just buy the right one for your car!

A lot of places seem not to list the 1.4 tdi but list the SDI, 1.9 and petrol models.
