Boot Mat

Featured Replies

I am relatively shortly expecting my Sportline to be delivered and I am wondering what would be the best Skoda boot mat to have.

I’ve currently got a 2020 Octavia estate and the plastic boot tray I have in that is fantastic. I was looking at something similar for the incoming Kodiaq

However, I’ve seen the reversible mat with the split for the third row and saw someone had it on an old thread on here when the Kodiaq was still a new model.

I was wondering whether that mat was any good or whether I would be better going for one of the conventional trays

I took the old heavy duty boot mat from my 64 reg Octavia Scout and it fitted pretty good in my Karoq ! just had to cut a small amount from the length so it may fit the Kodiak better?

I had the Skoda full size reversible boot mat in my previous Kodiaq which was great as you could flip to rubber side when carrying any thing wet or damp. The Velcro load dividers stuck to the carpet side, ideal for stopping items rolling around.

The only downfall was if you did require the use of 7 seats you had to remove the mat an leave it somewhere.

I got a double sided boot mat with my new Kodiaq, and it great that it folds up, but the Velcro load dividers don’t stick to the carpet side.

I have seen that Skoda now have an updated version that looks like it clips to the headrests , has holes for the tabs to pull up the 3rd row seats, but still wonder if the Velcro boot dividers stick as I really liked them, and actually had bought another two as they were really that handy and miffed I can’t use them with current mat.

This is exactly the one I was contemplating, it looks to have the best of both worlds, will pop along to local dealer to see if they have any in stock to get a look at. I notice that on the brochure its £83 but £99 on Skoda Parts Direct.

To me a plastic tray and a foldable mat are two very different beasts, and the choice would depend primarily on whether complete waterproofness was required. For me it was, I didn't want dribbles off wet shoes for example finding their way between the gaps in the mat, so I went for one of these.

It's unlikely that I'll ever use the 3rd row of seats, but if I do need to I would probably know in advance and just remove the mat, as well as the boot space cover.

There are obviously other solutions to carrying wet stuff, that don't need a complete tray, but I prefer the ease of just putting stuff directly in the boot.

I also prefer the full plastic tray without any gaps. Not sure which make, but it has a non-slip square in the middle. Is working well in my 2nd Kodiaq.

Yes it has to be removed when using 7 seats, but I simply use a section of large cardboard sheet to give me a mini protective cover for what’s left of the boot floor and the rear of the row 3 seats. It lives underneath the plastic tray.
