Android Auto/ Apple Carplay disconnection issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

Had to drive for 8 hours today, and we use Waze for traffic info and Spotify for music and such. I drive a 2016 (2017 Model) L&K 220hp Petrol.

It kept disconnecting the phone (sometimes it would reconnect after a few seconds, sometimes it didnt).

I thought it's my phone's fault (Android Oppo Reno 6) and I had my wife plug in hers (Iphone SE) and unfortunately the issue repeated itself with both phones (different cables)

It drove me literally nuts.

Any suggestions as to what it may be? I'm thinking overheat issue or firmware issue.

Not sure what sound system I have, this is the hardware info code: 3v0035020c. It's a Canton, multi speaker + sw included version.

If you are thinking of new firmware, you need to hold down menu or setup button for a few seconds to enter the update menu.  You are looking for SW Train or Software Train depending on how they write it.

A picture says a 1,000 word's, so best take and upload information.

Yes the update named at the top will update your SupportedTrains entry.

At your own risk, I can send you a link to download and apply.

Yes please! :)

Gimme 5 minutes or less to send you PM.

I had this problem a while back with a Huawei phone. Turned out it was a build up of dirt in the charging socket. Took it to a phone shop and the first thing they did was clean that area thoroughly. It's been fine since. Try this - though the fact that your wife's phone isn't working indicates it may be something else, unless hers has the same problem (my wife's phone worked fine when mine didn't).

Hmm, you may have a point, Wanderer, but maybe it's not the phone socket but the car socket.... I will inspect it with a bright light and magnifying glass. Hope it's not rust or something on the pins.

Could be, here is a TPI for USB socket damage.

I assume you have tried different cables.

CarPlay tends to be rather fussy about the quality of the cable.

I literally went to Samsung shop to make sure I get this original cable but nothing much. I am so disappointed by this car
