2003 Fabia 1.4mpi AQW fuel trim issue

Featured Replies

Hi, good afternoon so I have my 1.4mpi Fabia AQW engine and recently I've notice that when the car is driving down hill in any gear, and I remove my foot off the accelerator pedal the engine misfires. I've plugged the obd on it and it doesn't show any fault codes.... But one thing that i have noticed is the long term fuel trim is at -14.8 is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated.

The engine is such an ancient design that anything is possible, I would check for leaks in the vacuum line between the inlet and the brake servo first.

Hi I've checked all the vacuum lines there's no leakage I also checked the area near the intake manifold and nothing...

Ok, well you can reset the fuel trim by disconnecting the battery for five minutes, if that makes the problem go away then it's leaning off too much.

Ok, I will try tomorrow morning
