It can not be a RECALL if no RECALL was done or the Registered Keeper Informed.

I do wish Dealership staff would stop calling things Recalls if no recall was done, just the car happened to come into them.

So a Recall Action, a Workshop Action, a TPI.

This is a Skoda VW issue.  Need to know basis and car Owner / Drivers might be the last to know, and if the car does not get Main Dealer Servicing it might not get done.

Even Skoda Approved Used cars can go through the trade with Updates not being done because no Service was done before a new owner gets the car.

I've always had my cars serviced with the main dealer, no mention of anything to do with fuses etc.

Anyone know, if there's newer version for this ? System has slower response to touch or wheel scrolling.

Yes there's an update to 0369

I will send you a link shortly when I can.

@varooom you wrote in an earlier post that 0238 could be updated to 0278. I have some problems with crashes and random reboots in 0238.

Is there any chance you can send me that update? It would be appreciated! 🙏

If you accept the risk yourself to load this, then sure.

I have only got MIB2 radio in my own car, but provide any files needed, provided you accept the risks.

I don't think it can get any worse than it already is. So, yes please!

Hahaha well sure...

I was just reading which package you need, it's a 10GB unpack/repack I need to perform.

It exist as a two-part update, as you cannot go directly to 0278

You will step from 0238 to 0268

Then it will allow you to update to 0278 as you cannot go directly.

I've been lurking on this forum since I got my car 2 years ago and never thought I'd post and ask for help. So thanks a million!

Take a read of this post, https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/512288-update-my-car-from-0156-to-0306/

I have the files, but if you update, you will loose activation codes for Sat Nav.

This update is dealer only, as you need to program in new codes for functions.

First of all, thanks for your answer !

So basically, can i do it by myself ? (i don't use Sat nav, so that's ok for this)

Could you please send me theses files ?  (if i can't do this by myself, i'll give them the my dealer)

Currently for user @Lennart his OCU module is not happy, as it seems to have a parasitic drain.  Hopefully he will post here or update his post with any possible new information.

I would recommend you wait until he has seen the posts above and, he will be able to advise you if you should attempt this at home.

yes you can do it yourself (the update part) but you need odis for configuration.

Search for TPI: 2060553.8 on this forum (or online) for detailed instructions but be aware of:

- After the sw update you need to activate a new SWAP function. The code is connected to your VIN and placed on a mentioned excel sheet which can’t be found online. You need to fix it via a dealer. If you don’t activate it, you will see the message “loading maps…” all the time. Activation is easy btw and after that, the maps are working immediately.

- You need odis for the new configuration for the OCU and the infotainment system. Otherwise connected features won’t work as expected. That’s where my frustrations were. It was working for 90%  but wanted the 100% 😉

With the current knowledge, it could be done within an hour (maximum). Indeed my OCU is fried 🙂 hope to get a new one next week (finally).
