its a uk right hand drive

why can you not read the code from your car now ?

  • Author

code stored is all 0000000000000000000000 ?

are you reading the code with VCDS ? if so open the long coding helper and click on each "bit" in turn and select as you require, then save

If your not reading with VCDS, then I would be very suspect of a code reading only zero's......

i wouldnt know what to select in the long code helper as i dont know the code for it

have a look in the long coding helper, most of the selections are self explanitory.

just 1 other thing do the letters have to be in capitals when i put the code in ?

I would yes

Call me a bit skeptical but  should you be guessing what a car needs when it comes to brakes... Personally putting random codes given to you on the internet by random people into a module that could be the difference between life and death if it came down to it just doesnt sound like a good idea. Im not saying anyone is wrong or malicious but you dont know if any of these codes are correct for your vehicle.

Personally the only way to be 100% is to do a SVM download and module recode using ODIS and the vehicles vin number.

Thats just me airing on the side of caution though.

no guessing involved, the code is generated from the vehicle vin / spec given.

The op can choose whether or not to try it

He doesn't currently have a code at all so how can this make it worse?

Your caution is excessive and unnecessary.

mmmm......

Your VCDS is very out of date,.....current version is 22.9

Are you using a "dummy" / 3rd party interface ?

can you not update that first, then try again ?
