Bit of a long shot, anyone bought any Sachs front springs for a VRS with Sachs PN 998 412 from euro car parts?

Euros list 2 different Sachs shocks, just trying to work out which are the correct Sachs number as they don’t list the manufacturers PN.

Sachs 998 412 matches 1K0411105EB which isn't listed as an Octavia MK2 VRS front spring. However, the specification of 1K0411105EB is similar to 1K0411105DB. Sachs 993 053 matches 1K0411105DB.

 

On autodoc, Sachs list the 1K0411105DA for the petrol VRS with manual gearbox.

 

On autodoc, Sachs list the 1K0411105DB for the diesel VRS with manual gearbox and petrol VRS with automatic gearbox.

 

On autodoc, Sachs list the 1K0411105DC for the diesel VRS with automatic gearbox.

 

However, it's always worth checking the car's build codes to find out what front springs the car actually left the factory with as this could be different from what Sachs or any other aftermarket spring brand recommends.

Thanks for replying, on the actual Sachs online catalogue it lists the Sachs 998 411 (not 412 as I put previously, my bad) with the correct paint markings.

 

Just trying to work out which one is the right one on Eurocarparts. Going to end up paying massively over the odds with them but the supplier on eBay I had some on order with for half the money has now told me they are out of stock / can’t get any more !

On eurocarparts, to see the listings of the Sachs springs that show the L58 and L59 build codes it appears that you have to select the Octavia MK2 2.0 diesel. eurocarparts product codes 627447560 and 627780520 are listed against both the Octavia MK2 2.0 petrol and Octavia MK2 2.0 diesel cars, whereas all the above four product codes are listed against the Octavia MK2 2.0 diesel cars.

how do i know whcich part number i need for front and rear?? without climbing underneath and searching.. theres at least 3 options on each end!

Which anti roll bars are fitted depends on the car's build codes. Have a look at the list of your car's build codes for any of these: 0AC 0AD 0AE 0BC 0BH 0BD 0BJ 0BE 0BK 0BF 0BL

okay, i cant see any of those codes on the build sticker...

so, ill have to go underneath later or tomorrow and see if i can see any markings or part numbers

The build sticker only has a small selection of the build codes, perhaps around 40.

 

The car might have around 180 build codes.

 

You can get all your build codes for about 3 Euros on ebay. Search "skoda vin options" on ebay to find the listing. 

fyi for anyone else looking,

turn your steering on a full left hand lock, and on the passenger side clean the dirt off the end of the front ARB.

the colour dot marking can be seen there to identify which one you have.

im on a blue, thus the front bushes are a BJ suffix.

 

jacked up a back wheel to try the same on the rear arb, but couldnt seen enough to find a part number sticker or marking on it, so will need to get the axle stands under it and try again. 

i was at work on my lunch having the first look so not enough tine or gear to go under looking..

I spoke to eurocarparts and asked which of your product codes matches Sachs number 998 411, they read it out and indeed confirmed that none of the numbers listed on their website were correct in this instance.

 

Scary really, just goes to show you cant trust one of the biggest suppliers of parts own website!
