Will seats from Octavia 3 fit a Superb IV?

Featured Replies

Hi.

I also posted this on O3 forum..

I have sold my O3 with electric memory seats and bought a Superb IV with also electric memory seats.

My problem is, that after a few weeks I have realised, that the seats are not identical, and I simply cannot adjust them to fit me without backpain.

My question is, has anyone knowledge of the possibility to buy a O3 memory seat and install it in a Superb IV model 2022? And yes, I am that desperate 😉
Will it fir If I Can find one?

Otherwise I might have to sell the car and probably take a much bigger financial hit.

thanks, Peter

Although the seat 'should' physically fit as the cars are both MQB platform. The 2022 superb is MQBevo meaning things are different - this includes modules, protocols, coding and such, so although there is a strong chance it will physically fit, the electronics are not compatible.

@litehead Maybe find a car trimmer / upholsterer that can take you car and work on your seat / covers and make adjustments so that you have the lumber support or firmer seat cushion that you need. The car could stay looking standard or even you could upgrade possible at less expense than replacing seats.

This. If you find a good one they will build it up with memory foam to fit you specifically.

I run my superb seat full low but with the front of the seat lifted quite a bit. Lifting the front of the seat takes some pressure off the lower back.

Re seat compatibility: check the width of the Octavia seat. As long as it’s close they should physically fit. Might need to swap the frame it sits on. Also consider a Passat or Arteon seat.

finally, try getting into a sportline for a loan car for a long drive. The seats hug a lot more. You could buy a whole sports line interior from Skoda or a wrecker. Might have some trouble with coding in seat memory but as long as the seat gets power you can manually adjust it. Small price to pay for a good back.
