Can't find any info on this dash light

Featured Replies

Hi, I asked a weeks go about this warning light, but I had no joy. The light never lit again, so I though all was good.

When I've researched it, there are so many different hill assist, hill hold, electronic blah blah, that anything I read, is never about this specific dash light function.

From what I can fathom out, its on my 'Citygo auto' and nothing else.

But time is of the essence. I have an issue - my wife sits her test in a few days in the car and its 'randomly' flung this up for a third time this morning... which would obviously not be good if it happened on the test!

So I ask here today hoping someone has some knowledge on what I can look at to sort it. As right now, I don't even know what sensor to check or replace.  I'm a bit stuck.

A pic and video are below

Any help appreciated.

Sorry but tried looking at the downloads and not getting anything.   I can not see the Light.

If the car is on the slope is the Hill Hold Assist not holding the car for a couple of seconds then?

Go to a VW,SEAT, Skoda Specialist or an Automatic Specialist and get the matter resolved.

Maybe best keep the threads / posts simple & to one place.

Sound only.

What sort of person pays attention to warning lights and sounds anyway!

What you want - Handbrake for automatic transmission.  From the (05.2017) Owner's Manual -

(ETA: if for some reason you haven't got the printed paper copy of the Owner's Manual you can get a PDF copy from the following link. -https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models )

A screenshot for you.

Car is in reverse, and the owner manual seems to be telling you to have the handbrake applied from what I can tell.

Are you parking the car in P or R, and applying the handbrake as the manual tells you to?

To be fair to CityGoGoGO the last file (or wotever it's called) is a still photo/image (wotever it's called).

See if this works (yes it did). -

@CityGoGoGO it didn't matter in this instance but just in general for photos and videoes for this sort of thing, you get more information into both by holding your phone to landscape (horizontally) rather than portrait (vertical).
