Power / memory seats retrofit?

Featured Replies

Have seen a set of these on the web for reasonable money. How much effort to fit? 2018 Superb Combi, currently manual but heated seats.

Thanks!

It can be done yes.

custom wiring loom required, coding to match also but it’s possible.

depends how much work you want to put in or get someone else to do.

@brettikivi - does the kit have everything including the motor, control module, buttons, wiring harnesses etc. etc.?

my passenger seat is electric, but has no memory function - I've thought about retrofitting the control module to it, but I need to do more research first.

mission impossible, memory seats have different actuators 😞

And to add to that, most actuators can’t be bought on their own, I believe they come as a complete seat base

I’d also thought about retrofitting this; that’ll be another one consigned to the bin… 😕

Not necessarily. I’m on the hunt for full spec front seats where the airbags have gone off so nice and cheap.

im after full electric front seats with ventilation, heating and massage.

plan is to strip the full spec seats and rebuild on mine to have the first full spec sportline seats (sportline can’t have ventilation) so will be custom.
