Front Shock Absorbers (with sensors)

Featured Replies

Dear fellow Skoda owners - I need two front shock absorbers for a 2017 Skoda Superb Estate L&K - must have the sensors. My friendly garage is being quoted £318+VAT EACH from Skoda, which makes it a £1000 job...

He has found some made by Sachs in August for £180 (each) but they said stock would be available in Sept, now they are saying Nov. and all the motor factors are quoting the same Skoda price. Does anyone have any ideas of where to get these at a reasonable price (must have the sensors in them)?

Many thanks in advance

Jim

What sensors?

I’m assuming he means the dcc solenoids/actuators.

they aren’t sensors, they are valves and magnets to control the stiffness of the ride.

they aren’t cheap and £300+vat is fairly standard pricing.

a lot of people fit bilstien dcc shocks b4 and b6

Thanks all, yes they are the ones that control the ride stiffness/height.

I might have to bite the bullet and pay the 320+vat, but Sachs did ones for £180 but aren't making them, so I hoped there were alternatives

Try Awesomegti for some Bilstein B6s or look at Autodoc

FYI they don't control the height. Hopefully that's not what the dealer told you.
