White spots on inner chromed surface

Hi guys,

Just wondering if somebody has the same issue in the community. After being parked in the airport parking for a week I have noticed that some white spots appeared on the surface of the chromed trim from the contour of the steering wheel in a very random way. I have tried several non destructive surface cleaning, but non of them worked. I tested with alcohol, plastic polish, chrome polish and no way!. Checking in detail the spots, seems that they are somehow internal to the trim, I mean, there is no irregularity on the surface that could make me think it's was a sort kind of deposit on the surface. It's a 3 spoke steering wheel from a VRS version.
