Security Alarm System Issues - Mk1 (53) Octavia Estate

Featured Replies

After a break of 3 days, went to unlock the car with the fob - did not work, alarm still on. Unlocked the car door but alarm still on, I did not open the door in case I couldn't get the alarm off.
Changed the battery in the fob but unsuccessful.

Any suggestion what the next step is before I am faced with a costly call out for someone to a very rural location.

Thanks.

If it's the same as a Mk4 Golf, just open the door and start the car, the immob should cancel the alarm.

If thats the case, sounding positive man. I'm sure it is. If there was a general consensus on that I'll give it a go.

Appreciate the reply👍

If so, lock and unlock the car using the key, not the plip, until the alarm is fixed.
