Not sure what it is.....

Featured Replies

Good morning, I have just purchased  2016 MK 2 Estate.

Please see picture... I have no idea what the small button between the handbrake and the 12v socket is. Pressed often with no result. No reference to it in the handbook.

Any ideas please

Thank you

Iain

Welcome.

Something someone had installed or did for what ever reason.

Machine guns, Ejector Seat, rear bullet proof shield, maybe on a Skoda it drops oil on the road.

Bond in an Octavia Estate... now that would be a marketing win for Skoda!!

@IainCly

Is your car really a Mk2 Octavia Estate but not first registered to 2016.

It maybe is a very special build.

As George noted this is a late registration for a mk2, which ceased normal availability in 2013/14.  Take a look at the vehicles VIN (bottom corner of passenger side front windscreen); the three characters at positions 7,8,9 will tell you which model range you have (1Z = mk2, 5E = mk3).  There's a more detailed explanation in the post linked below.

i have a feeling its a mk3,

theres no buttons in my mk2 between the front of the gearstick and the ashtray/cubby...

there is on a mk3 though..

no bonus buttons on a normal mk3 either though, so its definitely a user addon for the front mounted machine guns. check for mounting rails behind the front grill, might be still there ;)
