If I remember, its been a while, you turn it on and hold the MENU button for 3 or 4 seconds and the system menu appears.

Then choose an option.

As I said, its been a while since I had mine stuck on German.

Ok I'll take a look tomorrow, thanks. How did you rectify the problem? Where did you get the files from to update it?

A very nice member on here sent me the correct link for my software, my IT chap burnt it onto a disc and 20 mins later, my head unit was fluent in English once more.

I still have the disc just in case.

I'm not tech minded at all, hopefully someone sees these messages and has the files

If your software matches mine, I can send you a disc.

We will need folk on here to help with that though.

Will go through my replies tomorrow and message the chap who helped me.

Good morning all.

I wonder if anyone has any advice with regard to my Columbus suddenly changing language for no apparent reason at all, one minute it was on Radio Skye the next, total silence, nothing working.

The car did not come with any disks for rebooting etc, I am going to peruse the manual later but I have a long drive shortly and its going to be rather quiet without the radio.

Any advice most welcome.

Thanks

Yes it has the regensburg(spelling) syndrome and is not uncommon There is a remedy and try here in the correct forum www.vwwatercooled.com
