Language on Columbus randomly changed to German

Featured Replies

Can anyone offer any advice please?

The language on my Columbus stereo somehow automatically changed to German, so I entered the set up menu and tried to change it back to English.

The message in the image came up on the screen, and couldn’t be cleared, preventing me from using any touch screen functions. It apparently means “the language you have selected is being uploaded”  but I was told I need an internet connection to complete the installation.

I turned the car off, left it a while, then turned it on again and the message had cleared but the language on the screen was still in German.

A helpful chap on Facebook suggested that I do a soft reset and sent me a link to a YouTube video which I followed and whilst it did reset the unit, the language is still German.

Any advice and suggested solutions would be very welcome - cheers
