Has my service been done?

Featured Replies

Hi

Wonder if anyone can help, but of strange one. I have just had my 2021 1.5tsi in for a service at 6k miles, main dealer. Records stated an oil change has been done. However when I look at the engine bay everything looks untouched. Ie dust on all the engines covers with no hand marks. Also the rear oil filter housing’s at the back of the engine at the bottom rear has no evidence of being removed. It looks like it has a thin cover on it and around the outer housing. no signs of fresh oil around the seal due to removal, in fact anywhere.. the oil looks clean enough but dose not have the fresh smell. I have challenge the dealer and they said they are clean workers.. is there anyway I can check for sure this has been completed for sure?

thanks

Confused as 1.5 tsi oil filter is lower front of engine not at the back. Engine covers don’t require removing.

I will have another look, at the front. I will get a few photos.

@MrchristopherWelcome.

Did you pay for this Oil & Inspection service npw, or is this done under a Service Plan for Fixed Servicing so already paid for when you bought the car?

Did you get a paper copy of an Invoice with parts / fluids, Oil, Filter, Sump plug and the Health Check report, showing tyre depths etc?

?

Is the Service indicator set for the next Fixed Service at 9,400 miles, 12 months from now?

**Dip your oil cold without the engine started and see where it is on the dip stick.  and do another check when the ar has had a run and the oil is up to temperature and stopped on the flat, a few minutes after the engine is stopped and see the oil level on the dipstick.   Just so you know where the level was after the service.**
