Remap / chiptuning available for the 2.0tsi VRS!

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

Since a few weeks the remap is available for the 2.0tsi.

Standard remap from 245 to 300hp.

Custom tweaking meaning from 245 to 320hp but mandatory dsg remap.

Anyone already scheduled a tuner visit?😆😆😆

  • Are you sure it's DQ381? 381 is meant for 4x4, vRS is FWD, so it should have 380. Anyway of course all of those numbers are given with some tolerance. As far as i know in reality DQ200 is ok up t

And today was my day 🙂, results in line with the ones from @DutchVRS, I am getting 324,1 HP at 5372 rpm with 492 Nm at 2850 rpm. I would say I have higher torque values due to the fact that I did DSG

  • I don't either to be fair, I've just over a year to wait for my warranty to run out anyway so hopefully any pros and cons will be better known by then.

@DutchVRSAvailable from who, as in who has written the new mapping and is selling it, APR, REVO , ABT or others?

Yes, my local tuner notified me about its availability the 13th September with similar output numbers (Catalog 320PS/450Nm but 329PS/457Nm on dyno test) for stage 1. They offer as well the same tuned-up.ch numbers on stage II and gearbox upgrade.

I think I will book my slot after Xmas, I want to mount at least admission kit before doing the upgrade.

I'm quite surprised about the numbers. Would expect lower numbers because the OPF.

Is there anybody in Slovenia, that can do this already?

Not that I know of.

Are the members here in Continental Europe using 99/100 or 100+ octane petrol. and are the figures possible from the remap given for when using 99 ron and above only.

or for 95 ron E10 or E5.?

I imagine with intake, turbo back exhaust sans OPF, there's an easy 350hp in there!

Are you all missing power? For me it seems that with FWD is 250hp like the reasonable limit... Of course more is better, but I would be afraid of lowering the durability of other engine parts. Same with DSG, which has limit aroun 420nm of tourqe.

My other car has 650hp (although 4WD), a little more power never hurt 😀

What's the other car?

@Boosted_Six I know :) I tought about it myself also. But I rather go for sound deadening, because even it has nice sporty look, for me its still family car :)

Enough power for FWD?

THe cupras (leon + formentor) has 300-310HP and they too are FWD, the thing that fraustrates me the most is the turbo lag really, not the HP.

As far as I know Cupras with FWD have 245 HP and only 310 HP have 4x4.

No sir, the Leon is fwd with 300hp

Maybe there's another config with 4x4

The STs (estates) in the previous model were 4wd. All the hatches were fwd including Cupra 290/280.

For those in the Uk there's also Celtic Tuning...though I'm getting contradictory info regarding ECU from different tuners, either SIMOS  18.10 or 19.6...anyone know what ECU is in the Mk 4 VRS 2.0 245 (Dsg)?

Totally sensible comment. I’m generally very happy with my IV Tsi, but putting 245bhp down on winter roads is hard enough, any more would be beyond tiresome wheel spin

420nm is the claimed limit, but DQ381 isn't brand new and people have pushed it past that without issues. But yeah, stock it's pretty fast already, I won't be touching mine while it's still in warranty.

Racingline remap is also already available. +100 BHP over stock. Quite impressive numbers.

Not been convinced by other tuning companies out there  but these guys seem the real deal with a wealth of knowledge and experience...

This is a fair point ..took mine out for a spirited drive via some A/B Roads - did scare myself a little with the back end swinging out :) ...it is fast enough tbh with steering/handling/LSD very positive And reassuring!

There is no LSD, but there is a VAQ diff.  (needs oil changes at 3 years /30,000 miles or sooner.)
