Superb FL with Golf 8R engine

Featured Replies

Guys, is there somebody having new Superb 280 2021/2022 and check which engine is in the car?
Is it Golf 8R engine? As I can see it could be, as well as new turbo charger.

Its just a EA888 Gen 4 engine no? With the IS38 turbo?

Or am i missing something on the brand new stuff?

I think he's asking if anyone who has a Superb FL can check if it has the E888 Gen 4 engine with the Continental turbo rather the Gen 3, and to share the engine code!

Very unlikely in any case to have a Gen4 engine in the FL.

I checked with one guy in my country and it is Gen4 DNFE engine and by picture (of low res) it has Continental turbo.

I have checked in specs and this turbo is among parts. As well as engine.

Tuners anounced that Stage 1 goes to 400, while Stage 2 goes to 455. At least.

Lucky guy! I would say that in the UK it would be a rare case of getting that engine here

Why you think so?

I'm not saying that it's not possible however it would very rare as here in the UK we usually get shafted on options/spec along with higher prices in comparison with Europe.

And I am in Serbia. Think about what we get. 🤣

Maybe it's a MY22 thing to have the Gen4 engine? I have an FL MY 21, and it has a CJX engine with an IHI Turbo.

CJX is a Gen 3 engine with a IHI IS38 turbo.

He bought it in August, so for sure MY22.
