Vrs estate water ingress

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Was hoping to use some of your knowledge on a water ingress issue I have with my 2007 vrs estate. Water tracks down the drivers lower a pillar trim, when it rains hard. Initially looked like it was running round the door, and past the seal. As the seal had seen better days, I changed both parts, as a matter of course, but have noticed the leak still present. It's a non sunroof model, and roof lining at the top of drivers a pillar seems damp also, so I'm thinking this only leaves me with either roof bars, or the windscreen.

Just wondered if anyone here has had any issues or theory's before I go any further

Thanks in advance

I suspect the windscreen, mine is similar but only when I use a pressure washer so I avoid that area and all is dry again.

Depending on how bad your leak is and how vain you are you could try clear tape around the top and corners externally to see if it helps.

Cheers for the reply, going to try this week to get some water around the top of the screen, and see if I can replicate the leak.

Rather than intentionally getting it wet at this time of year I would try a preventative like I suggested and see if it stops getting wet.
