System deaeration

Featured Replies

Hey, guys.
I would like to ask, I change the oil and filters in my car at home myself, I know what and how to do, I don't need to check the quality of the work of the other mechanic. But a year ago the timing set was changed on the car. The coolant was changed from G13 to G12Evo.
The mechanic who did it for me is a good mechanic, it's just that lately I've been reading on the internet that if you change the coolant you need to remove the air from the system.
Can I do this system at home on my own? Is it possible to check if the mechanic did it? What can be damaged if it is not done? The car has been running for over a year without any problems. Thank you for the answer.

If you had unvented air in system you would be having heater problems, possible overheating, fault codes on electric pumps running dry etc. Etc.

If you have no problems, I'd say you r all good.

Temperature of water is on mid (90’C) without problem, no error code (vcds) and any problems with heating or cooling, so it’s okey?:)
