Do the fabia seats sit on the same runners as the Golf or Octy? Or are they a completly different size?

Only reason I ask is the Fabia seats I have are in perfect condition and are much better to sit in compared to the golf's and Iif they fit i'll bung them in??

They are completely different to the Fabia's.

However, if you're feeling adventurous, they might fit with a bit of jiggery pokery!

I was going to go down the the opposite route of fitting MkIV Golf Recaros into the Fabia, until I saw the runners. Then discovered the TT seats have similar style runners.

i would imagine VW Polo or SEAT Ibiza seats might fit , same floor pan iirc , so you might get some nice seats out of them

your right , i am thick aren't i
